Alseal 143P is a high temperature water-based phenolic coating composition. This coating provides a very hard, abrasion resistant, corrosion resistant, and chemical resistant barrier film at constant temperatures up to 400°F with intermittent peak temperatures of 600°F complemented by a near-zero VOC. Color Black. Custom colors available upon request. Packaging One gallon containers are standard. Surface Preparation New metal surfaces should be cleaned of oil, grease and dirt. The surface should then be prepared by blasting, chemical treatment, or both depending on specific specifications and a proper Alseal basecoat applied. Application Alseal 143P should be applied using standard paint spray equipment. The coating may be thinned up to 10% with water if necessary to help spray atomiziation. The air atomizing pressure should be approximately 30-40 PSI. A uniform wet coat should be applied to obtain the recommended dry film thickness. A mist or tack coat applied first sometimes helps obtain desired results.
